Also, turn off the main power switch since this can lead to fire or electric shock.
It is of course inevitable to have your properties damaged after a flood. This is enough reason for you to quickly initiate water removal so as to avoid further water damage. In order to do this efficiently, you must set priorities as to which items are the most important for you, and which items can stay a little longer submerged in floodwater.
